Support and update help
Start with recovery guidance and protecting your records.
Effective October 17, 2026
1. Contact support
Operator: Modoodle (Modoodle), represented by Byungik Hyun (현병익). Email kohana.manage@gmail.com with app version/build, macOS version, Apple Silicon/Intel, steps and expected behavior. Use synthetic examples instead of actual clipboard content and redact screenshots. Do not send passwords, verification codes or your complete history database/backup. Requests are reviewed in order; 24/7 assistance or a fixed response time is not guaranteed. Support data follows the Privacy Policy.
2. Installation and supported scope
Get the ZIP from the official download page, unzip it and move ClipMoa.app to Applications. macOS 14+ is targeted, with Apple Silicon and Intel binaries. Real minimum-OS and Intel-device validation remains pending. This is a Mac internal test, without iPhone/iPad apps or cloud sync. Apple notarization is not a guarantee of error-free operation. If first-launch warnings look unexpected, contact support rather than disabling security protections.
3. Updates stuck or showing an old version
Use Check for Updates in the app menu and finish the installation/relaunch steps. Close Settings first on older versions because a settings sheet can block quitting. Do not force-quit during installation. If installation has finished but an old version remains, follow the version-specific update and recovery guide. The official ZIP can replace the existing app if needed. Do not run older-named copies at the same time. Do not start by resetting history or using an uninstaller that deletes app data.
4. Search will not accept typing
Version 0.13.12 improves recovery after a refused initial search-focus request. On the test Mac, first typing without clicking Search, English and Korean input, three reopen trials after Esc, and Enter paste were confirmed. If typing fails again, close with Esc, click the destination document and reopen ⇧⌘V. Tell support whether clicking Search helps, whether text goes to the app behind it, and whether input sources differ.
5. Enter does not paste
Check direct-paste settings and macOS Accessibility permission. Click the destination document before opening the panel. Without that permission, use ⌘Enter to copy and ⌘V in the destination app. Images require a document that supports attachments. TextEdit’s RTFD conversion prompt is normal when saving an attached image. Secure fields and some applications do not accept automatic input.
6. Back up and restore
Use Settings → Data → Backup and Restore to export a backup. It can contain sensitive originals and Trash and is not separately encrypted. Choose a protected location. Import adds records while keeping existing records; it is not an overwrite restore. Preserve the current state separately before a rollback. History lives under ~/Library/Application Support/ClipShelf/. Do not copy one SQLite file from a running app; use export, or quit the app before preserving the data folder.
7. Delete records or uninstall
Deleted records can be restored from Trash. Empty Trash and retention expiry permanently remove records from the app. Check that important originals are preserved first. Removing the app does not delete history, preferences or exports. To remove local history entirely, fully quit first and separately remove the storage folder and exported backups. This is not reversible; preserve what you need first. OS backups, snapshots and copies in other apps are managed separately. Secure erasure is not guaranteed.
8. Report a bug or security issue
For ordinary bugs, send reproduction steps and non-sensitive examples. For suspected security issues, put “ClipMoa Security” in the email subject and describe affected versions, potential impact and a private reproduction method. Do not send or publicly reveal actual third-party data or credentials. Do not perform harmful testing or access others’ devices. Modoodle assesses reports and provides appropriate fixes and notices; no bounty program is offered.
9. Business details and documents
Business registration: 609-32-66080. Mail-order business registration: 2026-수원영통-1029. See Terms of Use for conditions and the Privacy Policy for data rights. The current test has no payments or subscriptions. Pricing and refund terms will be disclosed before any future paid purchase.
Pro purchases, recovery and version upgrades
One-time Pro sales are being prepared. Your purchased major version has no time limit; the current generation includes 0.x test builds and 1.x. Future major upgrades are optional purchases. To obtain the last available installer for your purchased version, email support with your purchase email, order number and version. Do not send your full license key or original clipboard content.
A license covers 2 personal Macs. Deactivate the old Mac in the Pro window before activating your purchase key on a replacement. Contact support if you no longer have the old Mac or cannot find your purchase email. See Pricing and the Terms for purchase, trial and upgrade conditions.
