Check charging-control support
System charge-limit response at 80% and 85% has been tested on one M1 Max. Other Macs need actual charging-control checks. A complete top-up or target-discharge cycle, direct charging pause, temperature protection, and MagSafe LED controls still need hardware verification.
With another charge-control app running, Enough only monitors and records. Close it before trying Enough’s controls. Charging control on a new Mac needs actual-device verification.

Get started.
- Download and unzip the ZIP archive.
- Move Enough.app into Applications.
- Open Enough from Applications, then click the glass in your menu bar.

How do updates work?
Choose Check for Updates in the Enough menu, Settings, or the menu-bar panel. Enough downloads and installs signed updates, then restarts. Automatic checking is optional. Betas without the updater need this version installed once from the website.
Does closing the window quit Enough?
Closing the main window keeps the menu-bar app and battery monitoring running. Choose Quit Enough or press Command-Q to exit.
Which Macs are supported?
Enough runs on Apple Silicon Macs with macOS 14 or later; an Intel build is not available. Changing the charge limit, including schedules and automation, uses the system charge limit Apple added in macOS 26.4, so it needs macOS 26.4 or later. On earlier versions, Enough shows battery information and history only. System charge-limit response has been checked on one M1 Max.
What is the difference between Free and Pro?
Battery details, the menu bar, history with CSV export, and adjusting the charge limit yourself are free. Enough Pro is a one-time USD 4.99 purchase that adds timed top-ups, repeating schedules and Shortcuts automation. Use it on every Mac you use with the same email. Refunds are available within 14 days, no questions asked.
Can I use another charging app?
When another supported charge-control app is detected running, Enough only monitors and records. Charging controls are unavailable so the apps do not issue competing commands. Close the other charging app before trying Enough’s controls.
How do I install Enough?
Download Enough 0.3.0 using the download buttons on this page. Unzip the ZIP archive, move Enough.app into Applications, and open Enough from there. The glass icon in your menu bar opens the battery popover.
